Fire Safety (RQF Level 2 / SafeCert Level 2)

We at SafeCert Awards provide the accreditation service through our awarding body, to provide our accredited trainers and accredited centres, with a range of Health and Safety Awards, including this fire safety award / qualification.

Qualification Details

This fire safety qualification is designed to be completed in minimum of 6 hours. The award is for employees who want to develop their fire safety awareness in order to assist their employers, by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshals/stewards etc.)  There is a great importance of fire safety in the workplace, which is underpinned by health and safety legislation, that places a duty on employers to establish policies and procedures and ensure their employees receive appropriate training.

The fire safety award has one unit with four learning outcomes as follows:

  1. Understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
  2. Understand how fire risk is controlled in the workplace
  3. Understand the principles and practices of fire safety management at work
  4. Understand the role of the nominated fire warden

The qualification is assessed in the form of a multiple choice question paper.
